ALAN HERBERT
Welsh born Alan has been singing since a very early age, appearing in school concerts, . For a number of years he was part of a duo with his uncle before embarking on a solo career. Appearing at an International Country Music Festival in Llangollen in 2000 as one of several artistes representing Wales, Alan was reviewed in the country music press as being “the discovery of the festival” by Phil Roberts of Dune FM radio. One of the highlights of Alan’s career to date was when he was invited to entertain at the 10th Anniversary dinner of the Telford Friends Of Daniel o’ Donnell which was attended by the star himself who then asked Alan if it was possible for him to sing a number of songs with him. Who could refuse such an opportunity? Alan’s act is that of a guitar vocalist with backing tracks playing a wide range of traditional and new country music, ballads, 50s & 60s pop classics. With a range of venues under his belt including holiday centres, theatres, country music festivals etc Alan has worked alongside such notable names as The Bachelors, The Wurzels, Dominic Kirwan, The Woolpackers, Jimmy Cricket, The Nolans, The Fortunes, The Ivy League and Raymond Froggatt. |
